Open for a reason. Save for a target.

If you have few chests and want several Weapon Week weapons, saving until the releases are available can avoid using the supply before your target joins the pool. If you need an available weapon now to improve ordinary runs, opening for that immediate result may be worthwhile. These are different goals; waiting is not automatically better for every account.

OPEN NOW

An available item helps today

You need an immediate upgrade for your ordinary runs and the item is in this chest.

SAVE

Your target has not arrived

Your chest supply is limited and you want to roll after the relevant releases.

What the creator report actually says

The September 15 creator report lists Paintball Gun, Sniper Rifle, Flamethrower, Minigun and Subspace Trip Mine as the release sequence, and says these weapons will stay in the game. Treat it as the video's report and consult the current in-game event/chest list before opening. The video predicts later rarities and attacks; those predictions are not confirmed weapon stats here.

Rarity comes before the remaining item

The important chest rule is rarity first, then the remaining items in that rarity. According to the creator, a roll of a rarity with an unmaxed weapon can favor that remaining weapon, but a rarity with everything already maxed can still produce duplicates. It does not guarantee that every chest rolls a weapon you need.

Worked example: a duplicate is still possible

Example: all of your Rare items are maxed, but you still need a higher-rarity weapon. A Rare roll can still duplicate; it does not automatically become the higher rarity. Conversely, if a newly added weapon is the only unmaxed item in its rolled rarity, the reported duplicate rule makes that rarity roll useful. This is a conditional example, not a drop probability.

Collect now, check the pool before opening

The creator recommends collecting raid chests and waiting when supplies are tight; the guide reports a 12-hour ticket refresh. Inferno quests can also supply event currency. Claims that later Inferno chests will contain particular unreleased weapons remain speculation. Confirm that the desired item appears in the current chest contents before spending. No need to panic-open solely because it is release day.
